 Fun for all ages August 16, 2010

I was looking for a fun but "educational" game for my son who is turning 8. When we received this my son, my daughter (13 years old) and myself (past thirty something) all became addicted to this game trying to outwit the monsters with our extraordinary vocabulary. My son especially loved "decimating" the monsters, and I was pleasantly surprised at how many words that he could come up with and spell correctly to defeat the monsters.

Product was in good condition, delivered quickly. I bought this product for my grandson. He loves the Bookworm Adventure game and plays it every time he comes for a visit. The game teaches children how to spell and how to make decisions. A good, and a fun game.

I was searching for Bookworm Adventures and Bookworm Adventures Volume 2 to give as a gift. My search for Bookworm Adventures Volume 2 showed it was carried by Amazon. I bought them both glad that I had finalized my purchases at one stop. When I receivied the items I was VERY disappointed; despite being packaged differently both of them were the first volume of the Bookworm Adventure series.
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE SEARCHES; DESPITE THE TWO DIFFERENT ASIN #'S and THE TWO DIFFERENT PRICES IT IS THE SAME GAME. The only difference is one just comes in a keepsake case and the has a box that has the keepsake case enclosed inside.
Shame on you Amaazon!

We liked the regular Bookworm and played it for a long time. Then we discovered Bookworm Adventures and this one is much better. It is kind of like the old "Fractured Fairy Tales" on the Rocky Squirrel television show of the 60's. Each time Lex goes on a different adventure to rescue his love and he defeats various bad guys along the way. They can attack him too but he defeats them with his words. He has special weapons and potions to help him recover from attacks and get stronger. Another plus is it's not a violent game.I would love to see another version. This is a good time any time. Daughter, grandson and I hover around the computer and help each other find words to slay the enemies for Lex, the bookworm.
