4 out of 5 stars Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack: Operation Anchorage and The Pit   September 5, 2010

Fall Out 3 has been a great game. Lots of challenges and adventure. This add-on pack brings not only new weapons and armour. It gives a nice slice of game history. The Pitt is an area you can return to once it has been completed. On the first run through it challenges your morales in your decision making. Experienced 1 glitz in this section. Operation Anchorage you can only play through once.

I feel this has been a good purchase vs. downloading it using points on the XBox.

If you like fallout 3, you should get this add on. I bought them as a disk and had no problems with it.

Operation Anchorage was fun to me. It was a simulation, so it was a bit different then the other game play. My only complaints about it is that is was kind of hard to find your way around in some areas and you were never able to search the bodies of the people you killed. The quest was very linear. All in all, it was a nice change to the normal game setting and you got an awesome gun, the Guass rifle.

The Pitt was probably one of my favorite of the add ons. The city was the same kind of environment, but more creepy. You get some new types of enemies called frogs (I believe) and some neat new weapons. You get to do some really fun quests and you also have a choice in how it ends depending on your decision in a dilemma. You can spend a long time really going around every where on the map. There are some different and neat backgrounds too. A very nice addition to the game.

5 out of 5 stars Given: Fallout 3 is one of the best games out there   May 11, 2010

Anchorage - must have armor, gameplay is linear but with some story backfill on the Chinese Army (4 star). The Pitt - gameplay is awesome, mutants are freak, great addition (5 star)... although my favorite was / is Hillbilly Island aka Point Lookout.

4 out of 5 stars A solid add on   March 14, 2010
Video Game Addicted (Brooklyn OH)
When Fallout 3 came out I ran out to buy it, and it instantly became one of my favorite video games. After playing many hours of Fallout 3 I had to stop playing it because I had to play other games. Recently I got back into over the weekend. Due to this I bought this expansion pack. I was hoping this would renew my love of this game. Sadly this was only a little true.

The first expansion was the worse of these two. It is nice that the story continues after the ending, but it was to distant from the original formula. The expansion was centered around combat. Though this works poorly because of the combat system leaving a lot to be desired. I'm not saying the combat should be to the level of Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden but, it isn't good enough to base a game around. It also lacks the story/depth that the main story had. You also feel that your decisions have a lot less of an impact than other parts of the game. I know I sound like I am saying that this is a horrible game, but its not, its just disapointing.

Luckily this came with a second piece of content. This add on felt like it could have been added in the game. If you enjoyed the original game you will definitly enjoy this. It has many guns that will keep you playing Fallout for a while longer. There isn't that much to say about this game except that the game is very enjoyable.

Overall if you really liked the main game it is safe to say that you will really enjoy this game, but if you only somewhat enjoyed the game I would reccomend that you rent this game.
